OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A federal grand jury Thursday indicted a Tahlequah minister arrested on sex charges during an Internet sting run by Cotton County authorities. The indictment claims that 46-year-old Charles Barry Shaffer used the Internet to discuss his desire to have sex with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, made arrangements to travel to her home and did travel to the home.

The count is punishable by 10 to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

After his arrest earlier this month, Shaffer resigned as the leader of the Northeastern State University campus ministry sponsored by the South College Church of Christ in Tahlequah.
