SAN DIEGO (AP) LaDainian Tomlinson sounds like a guy who's looking forward to playing for Norv Turner.

The San Diego Chargers have introduced Turner as their new head coach Monday, one week after firing Marty Schottenheimer. Turner previously has been head coach of the Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders, going a combined 58-and-82 with one playoff appearance.

Tomlinson calls Turner a perfect fit for the Chargers. Tomlinson was named the NFL Player of the Year after helping San Diego post an NFL-best 14-2 record in the regular season.

Turner spent last season as San Francisco's offensive coordinator and ran the Chargers' offense in 2001.
