VERDEN, Okla. (AP) School officials in Verden are re-examining their policies after a napping second-grader was inadvertently left on a school bus.
Superintendent David Davidson says the student was asleep on the bus when the rest of the children got off at the school Thursday morning. Unaware of the sleeping child, the bus driver parked the bus inside the district's bus barn.
The student stayed on the bus until he was found later in the day.
Davidson says the district is taking corrective measures to make sure it doesn't happen again.
