BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State right-hander Matt Gardner picked up his seventh straight win, leading the Cowboys to an 8-2 win against La Salle Friday in a Florida tournament.
Oklahoma State overcame a 2-1 deficit with 3-straight RBI singles by Matt Mangini, Rebel Ridling and John Schindler in the bottom of the 3rd inning.
Gardner held down the lead, giving up 2-runs in 6-innings. He moved to 2-0 on the season. Tyler Lyons pitched the final 3-innings for his first save.
Tyler Mach added a sacrifice fly and an RBI triple as the Cowboys got their fourth straight win to start the season.
They continue play at the Beach Ball Bash Saturday against host Florida Atlantic.
