NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Former Vice President Al Gore will address the topic of global warming next month at the University of Oklahoma.
OU officials say Gore's lecture is set for March 1st at Catlett Music Center.
Gore wrote "An Inconvenient Truth," the best-selling book about global warming that was made into an Academy Award-nominated documentary. He also penned the 1992 bestseller "Earth in the Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit."
The ex-VP also will discuss the issue at an invitational dinner at OU that evening.
The public is invited to a free forum on global warming prior to Gore's lecture, featuring OU professors David Deming and David Karoly, who have different views on the issue.
