Officials with the Muskogee County Sheriff’s department are investigating the counties second murder of the year. Forty-nine year old Arthur Fisher was shot in the chest after forcing his way into a Haskell home Saturday night, said officials. The 81-year-old resident, armed with a shotgun, shot Fisher who was carrying a knife, deputies said.
Fisher died at the scene.
The Muskogee County Sheriff is investigating the shooting as a justified homicide under the states ‘Make My Day’ law. They say the homeowner had been helping Fisher, who was recently released from prison.
