OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A television report in Arkansas says former Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain will visit Oklahoma Thursday as he looks to transfer.
Mustain was considered the nation's top high school quarterback at Springdale High School in Arkansas and signed with the Razorbacks a year ago.
He started eight games as a true freshman this past season but was replaced as the starter late in the season. He asked for and was given his release from U-A earlier this week _ one day after Arkansas offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn left to become co-offensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Tulsa.
Mustain will have to sit out next season under NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility remaining starting in 2008.
