RAMONA, Okla. (AP) -- A Bartlesville woman dies when her vehicle is rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a man authorities say might have been under the influence of drugs.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Tommy Wayne Stout of Claremore was traveling at a high rate of speed on US Highway 75 near Ramona in Washington County when the accident happened about 3:45 PM Wednesday.
The OHP says Stout's vehicle rear-ended a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Sheri Elaine Dodson. Dodson's vehicle ran off the road and overturned twice, ejecting her about 100 feet. She died at the scene.
The OHP accident report notes drug use by Stout and unsafe speed as the causes of the accident.
Stout was treated and released from a Bartlesville hospital with neck injuries.
