OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ State Attorney General Drew Edmondson [pictured] says his office is investigating price gouging complaints in areas damaged by the ice storm.
Spokeswoman Emily Lang says there have been about 25 complaints about high prices and most have come from the Muskogee area. The complaints are about prices for motel rooms, gas cans, water and other items in short supply during and just after the storm.
State law prohibits price increases of more than ten percent during an official state of emergency and for 30 days after the emergency ends.
Governor Henry has declared a state of emergency for all 77 counties because of the winter storms.
