An overnight fire in downtown Tulsa keeps Tulsa firefighters busy.
Firefighters responded to a call at the old Tower Apartments at 2nd and Cheyenne about 2 AM Sunday. The fire apparently started in two rooms on the northwest side of the building. The flames eventually engulfed the building.
As many as 80 firefighters took turns fighting the fire. They did it in shifts, because of the cold weather.
There are no reports of injures.
There is no word on what caused the fire. The building is abandoned. It's believed transients trying to stay warm may have started the fire.
Shortly before the building fire, a house fire has displaced a Tulsa family.
Fire crews were called out around 1:30 AM Sunday to 1500 block of North Lewis. Everyone inside got out safely. Four adults and three kids who live in the home are getting help from the Red Cross.
No one was hurt. The cause is under investigation.
