OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management says the ice storm that hit the Panhandle last week caused almost $1-million in damages in Texas County.

The storm on December 19th and 20th dropped two inches of rain, one inch of ice and up to four inches of snow in some areas of the county.

The towns of Goodwell and Guymon were the hardest hit.

The department says a damage assessment team documented about $500,000 in damages in Texas County, including $200,000 in Guymon.

Tri-County Electric Cooperative officials revised their storm-damage estimates for the area to about $400,000.

The Panhandle Telephone Cooperative also suffered about $47,000 in damages.
