A woman is arrested after stealing a police car early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a call of a car accident around 5:30 a.m. at 4300 N. Kenosha. A woman had driven her vehicle into a fence, and walked off said police.
Officers arrived on the scene, found the woman, handcuffed her and placed her in the front seat of a Tulsa Police squad car, said officials. While officers were searching the area the suspect slid into the driver’s seat and drove off in the squad car.
A few blocks from the scene the woman hit a grassy median, went up an incline and hit a church near 46th St. N. and Jamestown, police said. No one was injured, the police car sustained several thousand dollars in damage, and the church has minor damage.
