The push is on to "bundle up" more donations for Jim Giles â€˜Coats for Kids.â€™

Collections are down this year. So far, Catholic Charities has distributed more than 2,500 coats to about 700 families. But as many as 6,000 more are needed.

Matt DeWese with Coordinator of St. Anthony's Assistance Unit: "We're particularly in need of coats for children. Currently we have 185 coats for kids and with 200 or more families coming through a day that may last us half a day.â€

And there is a big need for menâ€™s coats in extra large sizes.

To help, just take a new or gently used coat to any Yale Cleaners, now through December 31st. They'll clean it then give it to Catholic Charities who will make sure the coat goes to someone in need.
