KINGSVILLE, Texas (AP) _ The football coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State has been named coach at Texas A&M/Kingsville.
Keith Baxter replaces coach Richard Cundiff, who announced early last season that he would resign at the end of the year.
The Javelinas finished 3-and-8.
Baxter spent 16 years on the staff at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, the first 12 as offensive coordinator.
He was on the New Mexico State staff for two seasons before moving to Southeastern.
He was a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, during the 1985 and 1986 seasons.
Baxter led Southeastern to a 25-and-16 record as head coach, including an appearance in the NCAA Division Two championship playoffs in 2004.
