An EMSA EMT was injured on Friday when a semi-truck, without a trailer, plowed into an emergency scene on US Highway 169.
The ambulance responded to a three car accident on US Highway 169 between 71st and 81st Streets about 8 a.m., said an EMSA spokesperson.
Two cars were off the road; a third was stopped in a northbound lane. A paramedic was helping a man out of the vehicle on the road when a semi-truck hit the car, said officials. The impact of the collision threw both the EMT and the man over the median and into southbound lanes of US Highway 169.
Both the paramedic and the patient were injured; they were transported to a Tulsa hospital in fair condition. No one else was injured.
