A double shooting leads to Tulsa’s 55th murder of the year.
Police say Juan Ramirez shot his soon to be ex-wife, 18 year old Amanda Ramirez, and her boyfriend Juan Carlos Sacramento. The shooting happened at the Cobblestone Apartments near 7600 East 51st Street around 1:30 AM Thursday.
When officers arrived they found Amanda Ramirez, her 2-year-old child and Sacramento sitting in an SUV. Ramirez, who was driving, was shot in the leg, Sacramento was shot to death. The toddler, who was in the backseat, was unharmed.
Witnesses say the shooter was waiting for them to get home, then walked up to the passenger side of the truck and opened fire.
Tulsa Police Sgt. Shawn King: "we don't have any indication that there is anything other than probably just a domestic relationship going on here. We don't have any reason to believe it was drug or gang related or anything like that."
Officers say they know where Juan Ramirez lives, but they are still searching for him.
