OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Oklahoma State University student is going to prison for three years after admitting to possessing child pornography.

22-year-old Roger Hamilton had faced up to ten years in prison when he was sentenced in federal court in Oklahoma City.

Federal Judge Robin Cauthron decided on the three year sentence and says Hamilton will be eligible to serve the final portion of the term in a halfway house.

Hamilton remains free on bail while authorities determine where he'll serve his sentence.
