STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State quarterback Bobby Reid says the Texas Longhorns treated him like ``scraps'' during recruiting.

Reid says Texas straddled the fence and didn't recruit him until after Rhett Bomar committed to Oklahoma and Kirby Freeman to Miami.

He says he took that as a slap in the face because he was the second-ranked quarterback in Texas behind Bomar.

Reid and the Cowboys play Texas in Austin on Saturday with kickoff set for 6 pm.
