Volunteers at McAuliffe Elementary School were busy with a real landscaper's challenge Thursday. The challenge, to build an outdoor classroom in a day.

Parents and PTA members spent the day meeting the design's deadline. But thanks to the expertise of Home Depot volunteers, construction moved right along.

PTA president Renee Harney: "It was exciting at 7 am this morning to see so many people from different walks of life come together interest in pulling this project into a uh just a new renovation for our school."

Teachers can start using the outdoor classroom Friday.
