A man accused of stabbing a woman 12 times and leaving her body by a Tulsa dumpster, has been ordered to stand trial.
News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright was in the courtroom and says Cynthia Hancock's family says the hardest thing about her death, is the terrible way she died, stabbed repeatedly, and then left like trash.
A Tulsa County District Court judge ruled Monday, there is enough evidence against Robert Sheldon, to have him stand trial for first degree murder.
Tulsa Police say they followed a blood trail from where Hancock's body was found, nearly all the way to Sheldon's front door. They say there was blood found in Sheldon's bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and say he made statements that indicated he was guilty of the crime.
Sheldon's attorney argued his statements should be thrown out of court because Sheldon was illegally detained. The Tulsa County DA argued Sheldon went with officers and talked with them voluntarily and the judge agreed.
Sheldon's next court date will be next Monday. Cynthia Hancock was stabbed to death on her 44th birthday.
