GURDON, Ark. (AP) _ A train carrying a potentially flammable liquid derailed Sunday morning near a residential area, causing churches to cancel services and prompting evacuation orders for as many as 75 residents, officials said.
No injuries were reported after at least four cars of the Union Pacific train derailed, said Barbara Frazier of the Gurdon Police Department. One car ``that's turned completely over is right by our Main Street,'' she said.
Frazier did not know what type of liquid the train was transporting.
At least four churches canceled Sunday services, she said.
Gurdon is about 70 miles southwest of Little Rock.
