Students at Tulsa's Carver Middle School now have one more way of remembering their retiring principal. Mrs. Cleta Driver now has a garden named after her.

Luke Leifeste, an 8th grader at Carver, came up with the idea. He says he and about 30 volunteers spent the entire weekend redoing the plot outside the school.

Cleta Driver: “It was unbelievable. When I walked to the door I saw the band playing, and saw parents in the audience, and all the kids, I was surprised.”

Boy Scout Luke Leifeste: “I was kind of happy that she got emotional and everything because it kind of showed my work paid off.”

On top of seeing Mrs. Driver's smile, Luke will also receive his Eagle Scout badge for the garden.
