Tulsa boxer extends unbeaten streak

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Tulsa boxer Allan Green extends his professional record to 23-and-0 with an eighth round victory at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

The 27-year-old Green stopped Jerson Ravello of Newark, New Jersey, at 2:24 of the eighth round of a scheduled eight-round super middleweight bout on Saturday night.

Green is now 23-and-0 with 16 knockouts. Eight of his last 11 victories were knockouts. He is ranked fifth by the WBO and 19th by the WBC.

At the top of the card, super middleweight Peter Manfredo Junior stopped fellow Providence resident Joey Spina in the third round of a scheduled 12-round non-title fight.
