OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State Senator Kenneth Corn is calling for more prison space.
Corn says it's critical the state build room for more inmates because the Department of Corrections is expecting the state to run out of room to hold criminals.
Corn says the state Legislature should pass a bond issue to pay for construction of space to hold another 750 inmates and to pay for a new medium security prison that would hold 1,400 inmates.
The state Legislature convenes in regular session in February.
