Tulsa Police say a Tulsa man is fortunate to walk away from an early Wednesday morning crash.

Officers said about 4:45 AM Wednesday the man was driving on Admiral Place between 129th and 145th when he fell asleep behind the wheel.

He ran off the road, went through a fence and ended up crashing into an asphalt roller.

The impact moved the asphalt roller at least 15 feet and destroyed the man's car.

Tulsa Police say if there had been a passenger in the car they probably would have been killed in the crash.

The driver was checked out by EMSA and was not taken to the hospital.
