LAWTON, Okla. (AP) _ A two-year-old girl who was accidentally shot in the head by her four-year-old brother is recovering from her wound.

The little girl was wounded at an apartment complex in Lawton Friday night. She's listed in stable condition at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Police say the children were with their aunt and visiting others at the apartment when the shooting happened.

Police say the boy picked up a pistol and fired it, striking the girl. The child suffered a bullet wound to the right side of her head. The same bullet then entered a wall and traveled into the adjoining apartment.

The 22-year-old woman who lives at the apartment was arrested on a complaint of possession of firearm after formal conviction of a felony.
