GROVE, Okla. (AP) -- Grove police officials say two high school students were taken into custody Thursday morning on allegations they boarded a school bus intoxicated.
Police Chief Ivan Devitt says 18-year-old David Shane Winn of Grove is being held in the Delaware County jail on a public intoxication charge.
Officials say a 15-year-old boy was also taken into custody and turned over to the Office of Juvenile Affairs.
The bus was on a county route when the two boarded the bus before 8 AM.
The bus driver didn't recognize the two students and stopped the bus and removed regular passengers as a precaution.
Devitt says the bus driver detained the two students by locking them inside the bus and then called for assistance.
