DALLS (AP) _ Former Oklahoma quarterback Rhett Bomar has reportedly written a letter of apology to the NCAA.

Bomar and offensive lineman JD Quinn were kicked off the Sooner team in August for accepting money for work they did not perform at a Norman auto dealership.

A Dallas newspaper reports Bomar wrote that he knows right from wrong but got caught up in a bad situation and listened to the wrong person and made a very bad mistake.

Bomar now attends Sam Houston State and has filed paperwork asking the NCAA to reinstate his eligibility.
