NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The injury to Oklahoma center Jon Cooper's ankle during the fourth quarter of Saturday's game is not believed to be severe.
Cooper hurt his left ankle midway through the fourth quarter and was replaced by true freshman Chase Beeler of Jenks.
OU offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson says this is not the ankle Cooper broke last season and he could be ready to play Saturday against Middle Tennessee.
But Wilson also says Cooper could be held out of Saturday's game because the following week is an off week and that would give him two weeks to heal and be ready for the Big 12 opener against Texas.
