OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Internet broadcaster and political activist began circulating a petition today for a grand jury probe of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
Muskogee native Jerry Pippin wants the investigation to focus on the men's motives for invading Iraq.
Pippin -- who has worked as a broadcaster in Oklahoma City and Las Vegas -- says he expects critics to accuse him of seeking the inquiry as a publicity stunt for his radio program.
But he says the government should be given back to the working man and the average guy. Big business, he says, hs taken over the present administration.
Pippin says he's already gathered about 200 of the 2200 he needs to seat a grand jury.
Even if he obtains enough signatures, Pippin said he expects major hurdles in subpoenaing witnesses and documents and may have trouble finding a prosecutor to direct the grand jury.
He describes himself as a liberal but says he's not affiliated with any political organization.
