29 year old Marine Corporal Jared Shoemakerâ€™s funeral will be Friday, September 15th at Tulsaâ€™s First United Methodist Church.

Following the service, Shoemaker will be buried at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow.

Corporal Shoemaker was killed in action on September 4 in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq while conducting combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Corporal Shoemaker was assigned to Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marines, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.

He was also a Tulsa Police officer.
