FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ Former NBA player Henry Charles James faces drug charges for allegedly dealing cocaine while his six young children were present, police said.

James, 41, allegedly sold at least 5 grams of crack cocaine for $400 on two separate occasions, Fort Wayne police said he brought his six young children to his last deal.

The children, ranging in age from three months to six years, were present when James was arrested Thursday, police said. Officers said James had another 6 grams of cocaine and 42 grams of marijuana in his possession after he was taken into custody.

He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and two counts of dealing cocaine. James, who's currently on probation for marijuana possession, was being held at the Allen County Jail in lieu of $212,500 bail.

James, a North Side High School graduate, played basketball in the 1990s for several of NBA teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks.
