Tulsa Police are investigating a rash of burglaries in a Tulsa neighborhood. Authorities say the burglars stole CD’s, electronic equipment, credit cards, and also made off with two high-end cars in the Maple Ridge neighborhood near 28th and Peoria.

News on 6 reporter Chris Wright says the owner of a 2000 Porche Boxster, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he is just glad to see it back in his driveway. "I was very fortunate to have my car back, and it was not damaged."

Tulsa Police found his prized possession Wednesday night, but other residents of the neighborhood near 28th and Peoria have not been as lucky. Police say in addition to the Porche, thieves stole electronics and credit cards from five other cars on the block, and made off with a 2003 Chrysler Concorde.

Tulsa Police officer Jason Willingham says that while some burglaries are unavoidable, there are steps you can take to make your car a less attractive target. "Just take your items, put them in the trunk, put them in the console, hopefully the guy trying to steal your stuff will pass you up."

The Porche's owner says he will certainly take extra security precautions from now on. "So now I’m going to put both my cars behind the gate." And, he worries that no neighborhood, not even upscale ones like Maple Ridge, are safe from crime. "There is no safe neighborhood in this nation and in this world, I've traveled all across the world and there's no safe neighborhood."

Tulsa Police are still looking for suspects in the Maple Ridge burglaries. If you have any information, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.

Tulsa Police do believe all of the burglaries are connected.
