NEWKIRK, Okla. (AP) -- A Tulsa man is dead following a head-on collision on US Highway 77 in Kay County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Donald Ahlerich was killed in the crash north of Newkirk shortly before midnight.

Troopers say Ahlerich was northbound when his pickup truck crossed the center line and crashed into an oncoming pickup.

The driver of the second pickup is hospitalized in good condition while a passenger was treated and released.
