OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency says he refuses to dwell on his disappointment of being replaced from overseeing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

Michael-D-Brown told The Oklahoman on Friday that he prefers to focus on what still must be done for hurricane victims.

The former Oklahoman says he plans to remain in his post at FEMA, despite questions about his experience in emergency services.

Brown's FEMA biography indicates he was responsible for overseeing emergency services as assistant city manager in Edmond. But, the city does not have any record of that.

Edmond's Human Resource Director Roberta Smith says Brown's title was assistant to the city manager.

The city's personnel files show Brown's job title and employment dates, from August 1977 to February 1980.
