Tulsa Police say a sex offender who lied about where he was living, has been arrested for a new sex crime.

Grant money currently pays for two officers to find and arrest sex offenders who both don’t register or move and don't tell police. Officers say Rex Reynolds was their first arrest, because he never registered in Tulsa when he got out of prison. After that arrest, he moved, but didn't notify officers. So they were getting ready to arrest him again, when a woman said he raped her.

Police say it's frustrating. Tulsa Police Sgt John Adams: "We need a better way to track them when they leave D.O.C so when they're ordered to report, they actually do."

Sergeant Adams and his officers plan to ask legislators to change the sex offender registration law to fix some of these problems. He estimates there are hundreds of sex offenders living in Tulsa that officers don't know about.
