OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- About 700 Oklahoma National Guard troops from around the state are heading to Louisiana to help in hurricane relief efforts.
They are among more than 2,000 National Guard troops from the state that will be providing assistance to areas damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
At the National Guard Armory in Oklahoma City about 40 Humvees started moving out early Sunday morning.
These troops are expected to arrive in Louisiana Tuesday.
