Oklahoma City man killed while picking up debris on I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man who was picking up debris on Interstate 40 was hit and killed by a car.

Troopers say Don Allgood of Oklahoma City died in the collision in eastern Oklahoma County about 9:45 Wednesday night.

Investigators say Allgood was driving westbound on the interstate when he saw the debris and stopped to move it out of the roadway.

He was then hit by a car driven by Larry Doane of Moore.
