CHOUTEAU, Okla. (AP) -- An Owasso woman is dead after the van she was riding in crashed after swerving to avoid a deer.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Diana Michelle Victory was killed in the accident on US Highway 412 early Wednesday morning.

Troopers say the van driven by Joshua Latshaw of Owasso swerved to miss the deer, hit a guard rail then rolled onto the passenger's side.

Latshaw was treated and released at a Tulsa hospital.
