KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ A young girl who became known as Precious Doe after she was slain in Kansas City four years ago is reburied, this time with headstone bearing her real name.

About 35 people gathered Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery to remember Erica Green, who was three years old when she was killed and decapitated in 2001.

Betty Brown of Muskogee, Oklahoma, raised Erica until her mother and stepfather took her to Kansas City, not long before the girl was killed. At today's ceremony, Brown thanked the community for all that was done to keep the case alive.

Stepfather Harrell Johnson faces a first-degree murder charge under an indictment returned August 3rd. Second-degree murder charges are filed against her mother, Michelle Johnson.

The child was known only as Precious Doe until the Johnsons were arrested in May.
