ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) _ Adrian Gonzalez notched a pair of home runs tonight to lead Oklahoma to an 8-to-7 win over Round Rock in a Pacific Coast League contest.
It was Gonzalez' third multi-home run game of the year. He had two home runs Tuesday against Tacoma. The RedHawks have now won nine in a row.
The RedHawks trailed Round Rock 7-to-3 going into the ninth inning. Will Smith led off needing a single for the first cycle in RedHawk history. Instead, he hit a ground-rule double to center field.
Brian Esposito singled to score Smith and Drew Meyer doubled to right to put runners on second and third. A ground out by Esteban German plated Esposito and a single by Ian Kinsler put runners at the corners for Adrian Gonzalez.
Gonzalez belted his second home run far up the berm in right field to give the RedHawks the lead.
