It's sticker shock at the pump when folks in Tulsa see a gallon of gas will run you $2.39 at most places in the area. And as bad as that is, it's worse in other parts of the country. Some folks out west are paying nearly $3.00 per gallon.

A new poll says two thirds of the people interviewed expect the cost of gas to cause them financial problems in the next six months.

News on 6 Reporter Steve Berg says just when you think you've seen the worst, gas prices explode again.

And it's enough to have some people change their habits.

Susan Ellis: "Oh yeah, I plan my trips and do what I have to do... and then park the car. I have to... I'm single and I live on a budget."

Daniel Ellis - no relation to Susan - has the same problem.

Daniel Ellis: "What we've done is we've tried to slow down a little bit. And we try to get everything when we're out at once you know. Do as much as possible at one time. Get all your errands done like you can."

The News on 6 Gas Gauge looks for the cheapest gas price in the area. If you know of a cheap fill, let us know.
