HOLDENVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- A woman who's accused of driving under the influence of alcohol when she crashed her car is now charged with manslaughter for the death of her 4-year-old son in the accident.
Kimberly Annette Powell is being held in the Hughes County jail on $75,000 for the death of Joseph Madden in the crash last week.
Investigators say the boy wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car and killed when Powell lost control of the car, ran off a county road near Holdenville and rolled.
Powell's first court appearance is scheduled for next Thursday.
