Tulsa Police investigate a child left in a car Friday afternoon

A 9-week old baby girl is in critical condition after she was left in a hot car for about two hours Friday afternoon.

Tulsa Police tell the News on 6, the parents and their four children returned to their home near 81st and Garnett around three o'clock. Officers say the parents each thought the other had taken the little girl inside. Around 5 PM, they realized the baby was still in the car.

The baby girl was unconscious when emergency crews arrived. We're told paramedics put the baby on a ventilator and rushed her to the hospital.

Tulsa Police tell us the little girl is now breathing on her own.
