A Tahlequah mother has been arrested on a child abuse complaint.

Tahlequah Police say 18-year-old Samantha Roberson took her 6 month old son to the hospital saying he was suffering from head trauma. Hospital employees suspected abuse and called police. That's when Roberson told police the baby wouldn't stop crying so she jerked it from its crib.

Tahlequah Police say she didn't take the baby to the hospital until 17 hours later. Roberson has not been charged because authorities are waiting to see if the boy survives.
