OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The remaining four crew members of the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the historic mission Monday in Oklahoma City.

An event also is planned Tuesday in Weatherford to recognize the mission between the United States and the former Soviet Union.

The official welcome in Oklahoma City is the first of three events to honor the space pioneers and is open to the public. The event Monday is at the Oklahoma Historical Society, just south of the state Capitol.

Joining Mayor Mick Cornett will be Lieutenant General Thomas Stafford, astronaut Vance Brand, Major General Alexei Leonov and retired cosmonaut Valeriy Kubasov. Donald Slayton died in 1993.

The four crew members also will appear from 1 to 3 pm Tuesday at Stafford's museum in Weatherford. National space officials will be on hand to present a moon rock for permanent display.
