Three Tulsa children are in DHS custody after Tulsa Police found two of them playing in the street.
Officers were called to 33rd and Harvard after someone reported seeing a 3 year old girl pushing her younger brother in a stroller down the middle of the street. The officers say they went to the kids' house and knocked on the door and when no one answered, they went inside. They say they found the children’s' 6 year old brother inside along with their mother who was drunk.
Officers say that wasn't all that concerned them. Tulsa Police Sgt Gary Otterstrom: "It was unkempt, food everywhere, there was food in the house, but it wasn't edible. It looked like it was lying around in the kitchen, just about every room in the house."
Officers say another big concern for them was a backyard pool they feared one of the children could fall into. The mother could face charges.
