The accident happened about 5 AM Thursday on I-44 near the Harvard exit.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an eastbound car with two people inside hit an unoccupied vehicle parked on the shoulder.

Investigators say the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel. The OHP says airbags in the car saved the driver and passenger from serious injury.

Traffic was slowed down in the area as crews cleaned up the debris from the accident.
