A late Sunday night accident in east Tulsa has left one person dead.

Tulsa Police officers say a driver in his late-20's clipped a telephone pole then spun into a tree near 1800 South 145th East Avenue. They estimate the Honda was going between 65-and-70 miles-an-hour.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name has not been released.

No one else was injured.
