DENVER (AP) The mother of Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols says Nichols' life is being threatened by other inmates at the federal prison in Colorado where he's serving life in prison.
Joyce Wilt says the inmates believe Nichols' is a snitch. She says he's targeted because an FBI agent escorted him past other prisoners on the way to an appearance before a grand jury.
Nichols was taken before a federal grand jury in Denver last week, but refused to testify.
Wilt wouldn't talk about the subject of the grand jury investigation and federal prosecutors have declined comment.
FBI spokesman Carl Schlaff declined to comment specifically on Wilts' accusations. But Schlaff says it's impossible to get an inmate out of his cell unnoticed by other prisoners even though agents never identify themselves inside a penitentiary.
Nichols is serving life without parole for his role in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people.
